UnderFloor™ Radiant Floor Heating Mats

SunTouch® UnderFloor™ mats are the perfect solution for heating just about any type of floor covering in your home. Although the SunTouch radiant floor heating system is most often used in new construction projects, these floor heating mats also allow you to warm existing floors without having to replace the floor coverings. If you have access to the floor joists under a floor, the UnderFloor heating mats can be easily stapled between the joists. UnderFloor mats will evenly warm wood, vinyl, laminates and tile floor coverings. The heated mats deliver 10 watts/sq. ft. of floor area (about 34 BTU/hr/sq. ft.).

With UnderFloor radiant heating mats, most floors can be heated 12-15 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than they would be otherwise. Carpeted floors will warm up to a lessor degree than other floor coverings because of the high insulation value of carpet and carpet padding. You may experience a temperature rise of the carpeted floor of about 6-10 degrees F. Installing insulation below the radiant floor heating mats is essential to complete the UnderFloor installation.
